Kekova Aquarium Bay

Kekova Aquarium Bay is one of the picturesque bays in the Kekova region, known for its crystal clear waters and vibrant marine life. Kekova is famous for its underwater ruins, especially the ancient city of Simena (also known as Kalekoy), which was destroyed by earthquakes centuries ago and part of which was flooded. The area is protected and visitors can explore it by boat, often stopping at various bays and coves along the way. With their exceptionally clear waters and rich marine ecosystems, these bays and bays may also be informally referred to as “aquariums” due to the visibility and abundance of marine life. Tourists often enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and diving in these areas to experience the underwater beauty firsthand.
